I've placed an external drawing into archicad and then exploded it into the current view to edit it. I can edit elements (change pen colours and fills) but as soon as i delete something, it deletes, but there seems to be a background layer of the same drawing that doesn't delete at all. So the only way to get around this is to draw white fills over the parts that i don't want and then bring the other layers to the front (which I don't really wan't to do). There must be another way? Some kind of layer combination?
I solved my own problem ahha
highlight the drawing and go to the drawings settings
under the properties tab - click 'drawing's own layers' and turn of all the pens then press ok
