When saving a favorite, I have in the past been able to place that favorite on the current story without having to change any settings after selecting it from the favorites tab.
Recently, each time I select a favorite, it is placed on the story it was on when the favorite was created.
If it is selected on the ground floor (its saved story) and then I change stories, it'll be placed on the current story, but if I select it after changing stories or whilst being on a different story, it'll reset to the ground floor.
I've tried fixing this with Element Transfer Settings. I've tried saving over the default ETS setting and creating a new ETS, but it hasn't helped. I've also noticed that the selections below in the Element Transfer Setting don't save regardless of whether I update or create a new XML, but these only relate to Flexible Pipe Segment so I don't think it's related.
How do I create, use, or save a favorite so that it is placed on the current story whenever it's selected from the favorites tab?
Operating system used: Windows Current

The dash in the box means it is still active for some tools.
Switch to 'Group by tool' mode and check of it is still on for objects and the MEP tools.
Or just click the box to clear it for all tools.
If you are placing MEP elements, they may play a little differently.
I think they may end up in a storey based on their height above project zero.
But I am not sure as I don't use MEP, I just remember reading something about it.
I might be completely wrong about that.

These cant be changed for the flexible pipe segments. They are by default unchecked so this is the default settings. Atleast for me, can you confirm if yours can be checked please?
And this is relative to Objects and their storey settings sorry.

Ahh, I see.
I can turn them on/off, but when I close the dialogue and re-open it. they have reverted to what they were before.
I don't use MEP, but I am pretty sure that the home storey, offset and rotation are all controlled by the MEP routing system.
If that is the case, they shouldn't be listed as options in the transfer settings.

Back to my question then.
How do I create, use or save a favorite so that it placed on the current storey whenever its selected from the favorites tab?

I don't know.
I don't think you can.
It seems that only the flexible pipe is affected.
The flexible duct can be controlled it seems, at least the settings stick.
As I mentioned I don't use MEP, so I don't know why a flexible pipe is any different to a flexible duct.
Is it because a pipe can go vertically across storeys, but a duct can not (I think I read something about no vertical ducts once)?
Someone that uses MEP may have to weigh in on the conversation here.
