Now i've installed it, and here's what i've found.

Somethings work, my files with hotlinked modules are 5% smaller.

Stupid markers that showed on elevation in layout only are gone.

And I couldn't get a linked marker to loose its link.

BUT
When I tried cutting the above linked marker from one elevation, and pasted it to another, AC crashed.

Don't tell me you can't cut/copy paste markers around the model...

"You cannot paste data into a section window with hotfix 1086 installed."

I have just read this at this link:

Perhaps it's also related to your problem of cutting and pasting the actual marker. Same result anyway

Edit: Ah yes - you're pasting in elevation... that's it!

I asked you not to tell me that.

But thankyou.

When I searched the forum for "1086", why didn't I see any post that said something like

DO NOT INSTALL HOTFIX 1086 FOR FEAR OF DEATH!!!!

Hmm. Should I uninstall and reinstall to get rid of the hotfix?

You can't paste into Sections/ elevations? Is Quality Assurance/ Control unheard of at GS? What good is this hotfix?

PS I like the wink.

They give instructions in that link I posted above. I suppose best to follow those... That linked post was up only about half an hour before your own post - that's why you couldn't find it in your search I'd imagine.
PS I like the wink.
Thank you 😉

That's been mentioned before. Do a search! I don't think it's specific to hotfix 1086, at least I had the problem occasionally before that hotfix. Since cut and paste in sections only gives you 2D I tend to minimize that anyway. I would like to have full 3D editing in sections as well as in the 3D window though. Hoping for AC12...

As far as I know, the crash occurs if you copy/paste elements into a section that has markers in it that directly refer to drawings placed on layouts.

This bug has been recently identified, and very soon (in a few days) we are going to issue a Hotfix that corrects it.

I believe if you hide the markers, the crash will not occur.

Sorry for the trouble it's causing you.
