Incomplete S/E fill generation

The doorish things are 'Movable Wall SE9's and the overhead panel is a Wall, both are Glass material. Model Effects is set to show color fills for the not-distant area only.

Depending on the layers I turn on and the depth of the S/E, ArchiCAD 10 817 seems to quite arbitrarily be deciding to just stop generating the fills at some point. Is there anything I can do other than dumb down the elevation detail (the middle one is quite dumb, and has problems the top one doesn't have) or buy more RAM or go with line-only drawings?

This is a 2 x 2.0 GHz PPC G5 with 1.5 RAM, GeForce 6600 LE.

Only?

What color are you using? A dedicated color or the Element's color?

Assuming you have rebuilt all of these S/E's, is there any reason why you are not upgrading to the latest version, 987?

Cheers,

Element colors, which is the same in the objects and the 2 walls.

[In this my first failed attempt I was trying fills-in-not-distant-only because I had not realised the 'distant area' will give you a cool toned down 'element color', which is neat! The problem remains though.]

[About upgrades, I typically wait a few months and learn where the walls are by reading in AC-Talk the wailings of the guys that have butted their heads against them. Actually I am not even positive I will switch this project from 9 to 10 yet. The fun hours discovering this problem and spent trying to figure things out will not pay off in quite a while, and hurt very much when you are working against deadlines (that is, always). So, yes, I am typically a bit late because I am not sure I can afford to be early --the early bird, the second mouse, etc.]
