Label glitch

Both NCS and standard labels are behaving similarly. When I place a single label, the ID is unrecognized. If I select Document->Annotation->Label Selected Elements the label behaves inserts correctly. 

 

Operating system used: Windows 25H2

Your label tool is not set to 'Associated' geometry method.

When you use the menu command yo select the element and it is automatically associated when you do that.
