Make sure both files have the same attributes.

Make sure both files have the same libraries loaded.

If the first file has objects in the Embedded library, check they are in the second files Embedded library (I can't remember if they transfer automatically or just go 'missing'.

Make sure the Model View Options are set the same in both files, particularly the display of railings, stairs and windows, etc.
