Presenting drawing options

relatively new to Archicad - though I have v.14...

How do I easily set up a base drawing that then allows me to have several different architectural layouts that can be present ed as options to my client. I have been doing this the hard way by duplicating layer structures and then prefixing them with a different option number but this seems cumbersome and clumsy... and the only other way I know of is to create totally different files that seems to wast a lot of storage space...

Ok, now I get it. Develop in different files, present in a single one, via Hotlink Modules. Can´t see why I would want to do that, but that what´s great in AC, it can be used in many different ways.

Samoh, is that your name?
Why don't you add it to your signature along with the platform you work on.
I'm going to guess his name is Thomas

Anyway, on topic, what i like to do with Design Options ala Hotlinked Modules is create a dedicated layer/layer combination for each Design Option and let that layer be the Master Layer for the placed Hotlinked Module. In the case of overlapping design option elements cleaning up with hidden elements, I think changing the layer intersection priority of the Master Layer to be unique will resolve that.

ksymons - I wonder if you'd mind taking a snapshot of the layer structure you use to achieve this?
Thanks,
