Property import changes

How come, all of a sudden, importing text that looks like this in Excel:

2026-03-30_08-30-31.jpg

Looks like this in Archicad 28:

2026-03-30_08-30-14.jpg

I have done this using the same scheme and Pset a hundred times, but I have never seen this kind of behaviour....

Hi @Kamelite

Try changing the number format to text directly in Excel in the RoomIDRoomGLN (String) column.

I did the same thing in another model.  Same result. The weird thing is, that I sent the Excel-file mentioned above to a CoWorker, and he had no issues at all... Same model file, same Excel-file...

However, and this is where it gets interesting: I manually typed in a new digit in the first cell:

 No issues at all....

Just an idea:

Different settings in Preferences/Working Units?

Same number of decimals?

I suspect there is something lurking in the Excel-file, because I've done this lots of times, and never had any issues. When I open the file in Excel, there is something different, but I cannot figure out what. Like i said, If I enter a value, I have no issues. But using data from the file, like I am supposed to, gives this error...

Maybe this option in Excel:

Scientific.png

- File/Options

- Data in left pane

Automatic Data Conversion in right pane

... 15 digits... scientific...

or alike.
