Hi there. I'm having trouble importing a site survey PDF into ArchiCAD and the explode option doesn't work. The site survey is not in DWG format.
Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon

Then it was created in a vectorial program, but they inserted and image and then saved that as a PDF.
You won't be able to explode the inserted images.
Like this one of mine.
It was saved as a PDF in another program, but has images in it that will not explode further.

I am assuming you are placing the PDF file into your plan using the drawing tool.
If the PDF will not explode, then possibly it is not a PDF created with a vectorial program (like Archicad).
If it is a scanned PDF (as created on a photocopier or scanner), then it will be a bitmap file and can not be exploded.

Thanks Barry. The document is in PDF format, and I utilized the "place external drawing" option to import the site survey. Are there any tips I can use for this case?

What you have done seems correct.
If it does not explode then it must be a raster (bitmap) scanned file as it is just made up from pixels.
Only vectorial files will explode into lines and fills.
If you zoom in close, do the lines remain as lines, or do they become pixelated?

When I explode the site survey pdf, "It presents another image." like copy and paste.
