How do I set defaults "Global" to my design toolbox?
I need to reflect actual doors and windows and would like to set a default so I don't have to tweak the parameters all the time, I find it time consuming.
Specially windows, we mostly use "vinyl" and hardly any trims inside, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Define a favorite for each tool/object that you need. After that you can save it as a Template.

As suggested, favorites are a good solution for your needs.
First absorb parameters (Alt+Click) of your target a window from any view.
Open the tool settings and at the top of that palette, you will see the favorites button, pick that and save as a favorite.
Repeat for the different placed windows or even create favorites for commonly used sizes of the same window.
Next, for windows you have not already prepared. Absorb the parameters (Alt+Click)
of a window - belonging to the same sub-folder that you have already configured.
Open the window tool again andbefore you actually select the target window
that you now wish to configure , inject the parameters (Ctrl+Alt+Click) onto the icon
in the left hand pane of the window settings tool.
This pre-loads that new window with the parameters from your last window.
Place this new window, then select it and create a favorite as described above.
Repeat for all windows you might use. Be careful when injecting parameters into a window from another
folder. In other words the parameters of a double hung may not match those of a casement,
so review the first window of each new type.
