I believe it only works on dimensions that are placed by clicking on individual nodes, not on edges. So it does depend on the method ytou used to place them - I guess the logic is why would you need to rotate dims that we placed the correct way the first time, as the are when placed by clicking on wall edges, thus setting their reference vector correctly.
