the ability to set layers as ghost

It would be helpful to be able to set layers to show as ghosted. formZ and other programs offer this and it is extremely helpful.
Is it too late to get this feature into R10?
This feature is in addition to our previous requests to be able to show ghost section views. R10 would make us real happy if we could have the ghost section view.
Thank you,
John

This has been a long standing wish. I can't say whether it will be in AC10 or not, but I'm pretty sure it's too late to be added if it's not already in.

In the mean time I assume you know the old tricks of using a reference story for ghost backgrounds, and overlaying drawings in PM. It's not the same, I know, but they'll do for most purposes.

Matthew,
This is more about being able to draw 2D lines over 3D model parts and then see where I need to move or adjust the 2D lines when the 3D model changes.
Examples of this are when a sections or roofs and doors are created. There is a need to show the roof intersections on a double pitched roof dormer correctly. The 3D model just cannot show this correctly but the modeled elements are in the correct place. The 2D lines can show the proper representation. The doors in the ArchiCAD libraries (even the much touted SE9 library) do not show a representation of anything like the actual door. This section needs to be drawn in 2D to get an acurate representation of the doors.
For these reasons it would be very helpful to be able to ghost certain elements, layers and section views. formZ can do it. Let us put the message to Graphisoft about the importance of these features.
Thank you,
John
