Above link helps to get correct Java version in order to install ArchiCAD, but that page link recommends awfully lot of installing and uninstalling. Gladly those maneuvers are needed only if you installing old AC versions.

Many security experts recommend to get rid of Java. Graphisoft warns about Java removal, but do not forbid it. Did I understood this part correctly?

I cannot find a place where Graphisoft tells should I have the latest Java installed on my machine or the one they claim the installer works. If Java is needed to run ArchiCAD, do I need to wait to get Graphisoft approval?
I can recall in the past that too new Java messed up ArchiCAD and it was one of the few cases that ArchiCAD malfunction cost us seriously. Time heals, because I cannot pinpoint the year.

Should I keep my Java updated to latest version, remove Java or keep the latest version Graphisoft lists on its Java page?
