Archicad 18 Bim Server "Address"

This is probably dumb - but where do I find what my BIM server Address is so I can enter that into ArchiCad so I can share my project in Teamwork?

Hi, you haven't really shared enough information to help - it's not clear from your post where the BIMserver resides, but if you haven't looked at this, it might be a help: http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/technotes/next-generation-teamwork/getting-started-with-the-graphis...

Open System Preferences
go to Network
Click on the item that is green, either WiFi or Ethernet.
The number should be shown there on the right.

That article really refers to life before AC18...I am having a similar problem connecting to the AC18 BIM Server from a client machine.

the same procedure still applies. In server name you will need to put the IP address and the port.

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1228

then you should be able to connect as long as you have configured that computer with a fixed IP address

Bimserver setup for mac

In archicad 18, the setup is différent from 17,16........

In archicad 17 we were able to put the port number in preference 6005

In archicad 18 the port number setup is not There anymore.

The installation of the bimserver doesn't work as 17. The setup goes true, the Safari browser.

The information on the graphisoft site représente Older version and not 18

Can some one from graphisoft give us à hand on this.

The installation of the bimserver with ip static is done but the connection from a user doesn't work.

Agreed...still having issues here as well. Cannot access thru browser window at client and cannot connect to BIM server from archicad on client. Have static IP and used the port number from both reconfigure v18 module and manager applications with no success.

I lied...it just worked. mhoude, go to reconfigure v18 manager shortcut in location where you installed the BIM Server...this will give you the port number...type ip address and port number in as described by ejrolon above...hope this helps.

This page has many video clips about the setup of the BIM Server/BIMCloud.
It is actually about the BIMCloud, but the BIM Server part of it is what you are interested in:
