BIM Server and Archioffice 2010

We are being told that Archioffcie 2010 can't be run (served) on the same machine as BIM. They don't say BIM Server specifically. Anyone have any experience with this? Something about using the same ports...

Damn! I hate that program more everyday! It literally makes me ill to see the R word.

I was wrong... They did mean Archicad BIM server... It was a port 1099 conflict as pointed out by Karl but shouldn't be a problem any longer as Graphisoft has changed that for the current AC14...

We are still having problems getting AO2010 to run on our old file server. It is turning out to be JAVA 6 that is the bigger issue... So we are planning on getting a new file server to run both AO2010 and BIM Server... We are a small office so neither should be taxing the system too much...

Have any thoughts on the best Mac for the job? Thinking a Mini or iMac w/ 8gb ram... [edit: changed 6gb to 8gb....duh]

thanks

I have installed the latest ArchiOffice2010 (build 153) on our XServe that runs BIMServer14.
No probs whatsoever. The support article is wrong or at least misleading. I have contacted the reseller to pass the message to BQE (developer of AO) to make corrections.
