Beware when sharing a project

Hello,

I just learned that one should avoid adding
new users to the bimserver simultaneously
with sharing a project.

One of our bimservers was rendered useless
by that action -> the user db corrupted and
no logging was possible after that with BM or
AC.

Lastly I had to remove the whole BS and clean
install it. The projects could not be exported
but luckily we had fresh local copies.

Hello Juha,

user creation during a share process should not result database corruption, I've tested it and there was no problem with that.
We've recently fixed a bug related to the user database, I think that might have happened on your server as well, so I think it was only a coincidence that it happened during share. The upcoming Hotfix (2) will contain that fix.

Thanks for the info.

Glad to hear that there might have been issues elsewhere than I suggested.
(I did not mention that the bimserver in question is a modular AC13 [3826])

We have had user rights problems even after my last post so looking forward
to the hotfix.

Presumably this is an AC14 hotfix only? Can you please give us an indication when you'll release it?
