Related versions: v19 and newer When an Archicad user attempts to share a project, the sharing process fails with the above error message.

Archicad or BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic is not up-to-date

Make sure that all Archicad clients and BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic components are updated to the latest build.

Network issue

Archicad must be able to communicate with BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic to provide Teamwork. To verify this, run the Network Diagnostic Tool from the Open / Join dialog or the Teamwork Palette. Verify whether all necessary ports are open and the server machine is available from the client machine. Whenever possible, use wired connection to the network. Try turning off the wireless connection to make sure you can access the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic's computer over the network.

Project needs repair

The project might contains invalid elements or hidden issues which must be fixed before the project is shared on the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic. Use Open & Repair to attempt to fix the file.

Archicad lock file needs to be cleaned up

When opening a file in Solo, Archicad creates an ".lck" file to prevent other users / applications modifying the very same project as you currently do. Check if any ".lck" file exists with the same name as the affected project. If you find any, close all running Archicad instances and delete the file with .lck extension exists next to the project - which could not be shared.

Incorrect permission settings applied for the Graphisoft folder and its subfolders

Make sure that the affected user has full access to the following folder and its subfolders:
WindowsmacOS
C:\Users\<username>\Graphisoft
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/
If the path of the Local Data folder has been reconfigured, make sure that the affected user has full access to that folder as well. Default locations:
WindowsmacOS
C:\Users\<username>\Graphisoft\TW Data
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/TW Data/

Incorrect permission settings applied on the server computer

BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic needs full access to its own folders. If the ProjectsAttachments or BlobCache folder path has been configured to a different path than the default setting, make sure that BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic has full access rights for those folders as well.

User Cache is corrupted

It is possible that current downloaded data become corrupted, so they will be out of sync with the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic. Attempt to leave all joined Teamwork projects from the affected computer.

Local Cache is corrupted

When more than one user is working from the same machine, leaving all joined Teamwork projects may be not enough. Delete the Local Data with the Local Data Manager.

Please Note

Local Data deletion will require the user to rejoin the projects and all unsent changes will be lost. Try to leave all joined projects before attempting to delete their Local Data.

TWDataOptions.xml is corrupted

TWDataOptions.xml contains the Local Data folder path. Close all running Archicad instances and delete the TWDataOptions.xml file. Locations:
WindowsmacOS
C:\Users\<username>\Graphisoft\TW Data\TWDataOptions.xml
System drive/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/TW Data/TWDataOptions.xml

Please Note

Deleting the TWDataOptions.xml file will restore the default path settings of the Local Data folder.

Archicad needs to be reinstalled

Uninstall Archicad. If there are more versions installed on the computer, make sure to uninstall all of them. Delete the user's own Graphisoft folder:
WindowsmacOS
C:\Users\<username>\Graphisoft
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/
If you still experience the above issue, please contact your GRAPHISOFT support representative. For the investigation Archicad FastLogger files might be necessary.
