Please help...I don't understand why the storefront is not lighted up when I have placed light source [ Spotlight 14 ] in front of the store.

Llian,

In PhotoRendering Settings from your first picture, the checkbox next to Lamps is not checked.

Thanks Nicholas...yes, I'm slowly getting it but finding it time consuming to be going back and forth in setting up the luminance within the recessed light fixture and photorendering to see how my setting fit the eye! So, what is the light source for if the recessed light fixture can be switched on ?

Llian,

In the 3D mode you will not see the luminance of the lamps like in the rendering. The processing power required would be enormous. But you can have a wireframe representation show in 3D.

Show Light Sphere in Lamp Settings>Parameters>Light Settings.

I see where you are coming from though. It would be nice to have a representation of the lights that is closer to the rendering view. Light points just represent a lot of calculation, you see how long it takes to create a single rendered frame. Imagine moving around live in 3D with rendered lighting. Maybe once Intel's 3D wafer processors are a reality and ArchiCAD can utilize 16+ cores. http://m.news.com/2166-12_3-20059431-64.html
