8" White CMU Texture

Not applicable
Could anyone direct me to a link containing a WHITE-PAINTED 8" CMU texture, please? Or, better yet, is there a way to duplicate and modify the existing "Surf-8" CMU" material to look like it is painted white in a LightWorks PhotoRendering? I've played with numerous settings in the LightWorks Engine menu of the Materials window with no successful results.

Thanks for your help!

So did I.

I will check out reference lines etc. Seems like a good place to start.

Thanks for your interest. Have a good weekend.

Hi s2art,

Can you post your Internal Engine Texture settings? I might have solution for your problem.

Cheers

Hidden line with vectorial hatching on, and Internal Engine material settings in image attached.
The fill pattern "stonework" is simply horizontal lines at 200mm centres. Origin is 50mm below front corner as indicated by red cross. (50mm setdown to suit our standard NZ veneer detail).

I appreciate your help, folks.

You have checked directions of the walls?
And ofcause the "Set direction" under Align 3d Texture? (try to rotate 180 degress and 360degress, in this type I have recognize that 360 isnt' the same as 0 degress )

Your screenshoot looks exactly like a model that could make those things happend.

Sometimes ArchiCad's render don't handle this situations very well if you have displacement maps on, try to set it off.

(All of this is try'n'error tests made by me , this is not official Graphisoft solutions)

What TurboGlider pointed should solve the problem but I had a similar situation once (nothing helps) and in my case it was "random origin" that caused it. It is obviously LW that mess with the texture origin and you should focus on the settings there, my bet is the "Texture Space". Set it to "none" and try again.

True, Texture Space could .... it up too.

Thanks for your input, guys.

I've been away for a few days, in the meantime the design has changed slightly. Right hand side bay window has been removed, and left hand side one made full height, quoins added at corners (yes I know they look too low at the moment). And as if by magic, texture now aligns over the full wall face, and at the junctions. Turned off the texture Space setting just to make sure though.

I wil keep all this in mind for the next time this happens.

Thanks again.

After a while you know all kind of situations that texture won't work correctly, and then, after a while again, you only build house that ArchiCad can render, the other house are you given too beginners 😃
