Anyone attempted use camera setting for panoramic view?

I am here to ask some questions to see if anyone know how to use.

I am trying to attempting to create a perspective video from interior environment. I thought to use camera setting tool and using flying through tool and it seems ending up as walking path which I do not want that. I just want to make a video from left to right view but recording from between the cone from the camera itself. How do I create panoramic view from camera?

Have anyone done this before? If so, please share with me and it would be great!!!

Haven't don't it but you should be able to place multiple cameras on the same spot at different rotations and then stitch the renderings together.

There used to be a panorama function. Not sure why it was dropped.

I'm testing it at the moment, actually, was hoping to post a quick example, but rendering it takes quite a while, even at settings I know to be fast for a 'normal' render.

Whoops. Didn't know that. Thanks Erwin.

@cadpg, what version of AC and which operating system are you on? Adding this info to your signature will get you more accurate answers.

At 3 hours in, it is still rendering a very simple project at fast settings

Not sure if this will be a very helpful function.

It seems to be stuck at calculating global illumination.

Some things I found out: it does not work with physical render engine, global illumination makes a render last forever with cylindrical lens. (Without GI the images look pretty poor)

I had similar results. In my case, I tried the previews instead of the full-blown renders. Normal previews took 30 seconds. Cylindrical 120° views with the same settings were using 80-90% of my RAM for more than half an hour and were still nowhere near completion, so I gave up.

I'll stick with stitching multiple images together. Windows users can try Microsoft ICE which does a pretty decent job.

I did attempted with two camera tool on the same spot with many frames, seems a quite helpful with smooth. But if I used many camera on one spot and it caused somewhat choppy. I don't know..... I am still experimenting....
