Cut surfaces in 3D - Building Materials

Can someone tell me why this wall shows the surface for the building materials at the top of wall, but not at the end? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Is it a CP wall with the edge surface overridden in the wall settings?

It is a complex profile, but all the components have the "use building material" box selected.

Also, i just created a new wall (just a composite wall) and used the same building materials. The sides and top are not showing correctly. How do I change them to use the building materials? Must be something simple I am missing...

The override surface settings work a little different between a Composite and Profile. For a Composite Wall you have 3 surface overrides (outside/inside/all edges), for a Profile you have only 2 (extrusion override, ends). You need to depress the end/edge button in the Model panel under "Override Surfaces:" then the skins will appear.

Ah, it was something simple. I never knew you could depress these buttons...

Although your issue seems to be solved, I have noticed that when you trim a wall to a roof, it no longer shows the building materials properly and ends up looking much like your images.
