Floor plan rendering

I would like to try floor plan rendering. Any tips on how to get good results? I guess the principles are the same as any rendered image just starting from an axo view directly over the model but the main thing I was wondering - how do I get it to render at the correct floor plan scale?

I usually place 2 square columns at opposite sides of the model to define a bounding rectangle. The separation defines the final scale. If the final image will have a scale of 1/4 and the project in its longest dimension measures 40'-0":

1) place and centralize the columns @ 48'-0"
2) render the image
3) crop the image to the bounding box using your favorite image editing application.
4) resize the image to the scale 48' @ 1/4" means that the final image size has to be 12". If I wanted it at 1/8" then it will measure 6" etc.

Great tip Eduardo! Thanks for sharing.
