High Res Rendering...NEED HELP!!!

A client of my firm would like a high quality rendering to re-produce into a 6' billboard for presentation. I am new to this archicad world and I have no idea as how to approach the rendering engine in Archicad 9,10, or archicad for that matter. From what I can gather, everytime I want to render at a higher resolution of 300+, the overall size my rendering output is shrunk. My questions is, how can I render at a high resolution and yet still keep the specified rendered image size. Is this possible or do I need to take it to a different rendering engine such as 3D Viz, Artlantic...etc. My last question is, can I render my images out into tiff files, Eps...etc without doing a manual save as "tiff, jpg..." after the image had been rendered. Any rendering advice will greatly appreciated.

Thank you Dwight. I was teasing a little because I know you can provide the "dephlogisticated" truth about this matter.

However, I actually don't know anything about the limits of measuring clarity as it relates to dpi.

I do know that my 2400 dpi printer does spray enough dots so that I can see a dramatic difference when I print a 300 dpi image file than when I print a 4000 dpi image file.

Or at least what I think it is a 4000 dpi file. When I use the Acrobat to generate a digital image file I can choose dpi settings from 72 dpi to 4000 dpi.

My prints are noticeably better for settings higher than 300 dpi.

You were quite right to observe that I was talking about slide film.
I am printing digital image files from scanned film, and from a Fujifilm S5 Pro. No possible way to get that sort of resolution on a piece of paper.

Same with my 1200 dpi laser printer. The images I print at 300 dpi are not anywhere near as good as the images I print out at 1200 dpi.

My printers do seem to be able to take significant advantage of image files with higher than 300 dpi resolution.

However, I may not be getting 4000 dpi image files just because I pushed that button on the print set up screen. Is that the way it is?

Brad,
The difference in print quality between your laser and your jet printer may be in some of your settings. ?

My designjet 800 prints line work so well that it is very, very close to what my laserjet 5000 can do.
