Hi I've been using Archicad for a few months now doing interior proposals for flats, houses, office blocks etc.
And this is my latest one, an interior proposal for a small office.
I know its not perfect so I'm looking for any comments to help me along.

Thanks!

-ADD COLOR TO YOUR LIGHTS.
- USE SOFT SHADOWS
-TRY TO COMPOSE A VIEW THAT CAPTURES THE EYE
-WATCH OUT FOR BAD TEXTURE MAPPING LIKE FRAMES
- ALL THOSE GLARED-OUT SURFACES NEED ROUGHNESS AND YOU NEED MY BOOK.

well, Dwight is the man to listen to - have a look at some of the other crits he has posted on other peoples renders -he's commented many, many times - (thanks Dwight)

his book is no doubt great for this - but R's vs $ makes it expensive out here.. buy it if you can afford it!

I find it helps to add more detail to things - cornices/shadow cornices/skirting. also try adjusting the scale of some of the textures. and the frames on the left-hand side of the picture look... um... awful. use a better texture - the Pine texture never looks good.

good luck...

cheers!

Yes it would seem so. If i've got the money I'd definitely go for Dwights book, don't think there is anything local in SA that matches it?
Yes I see the frames do look pretty crap now that you mention it.

Thanks for the comments Mark

Haven;t heard of any local resources that would match Dwight's book, but as I said, check through Dwight's comments on other peoples work. Otherwise you could try learning Cinema4D which is apparently better suited to lighting and rendering than Lightworks... I don't think it's very easy to learn though.
