Lights in ArchiCAD

Hi Guys,

I have only recently started using archiCad and have just embarked on my first major project using this software. After creating a building in ArchiCAD and adding objects I want to put lights on the roof before I render it in Artlantis, however I cannot find any light objects in the objects library. Can anyone guide me in the correct direction?

You will need to use the light tool (looks like a light bulb) instead of the object tool.

Lamps (lights) only work with rendering (CineRender in AC 18 ), they do not light the 3D Window. Also, the Lamps need to be turned on in the PhotoRendering settings (and the Lamps' settings).

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Please may you help me David?
Archicad 18 Cinerender - placing of Winow lamp objects.
These are a T in plan.... is the cantral arrow of the T supposed to point in or out of the building and is the object placed on the exterior or interior of the wall line? I have tried all different configurations and it seems to make no difference in the render. I have the lamp setting on and the sun off as I have a sun object.

Your advice would be much appreicated as I cannot find any reference to this.
