Lightworks doesn't render in Archicad9

Lightworks stop rendering (doesnt' begin instead). Progress bar reachs 40% and the end-rendering beep sounds but there's nothing to see, only the background picture. If I change the view angle or viewpoint height, sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't. Do someone know what could it be ?, this happens at home and office computers, both with same WinXP OS but different graphic cards.

You are running out of memory. Try decreasing the image size.

No - it's something else - A different kind of 'Bug'!!!

I had this happen today, for the first time - trying to get something done, but now empty renderings ...

I've changed my image size to 72 dpi and 500 x 300 pixels.

Still just renders background.

I thought - somthing's happened to my 'partial rendering' settings, maybe I accidentally clicked it instead of whole image.

Nope - the partial rendering dialogue is completely missing from the Lightworks settings. It's back again when I change to internal engine. I don't want the internal engine.

Now I'm not sure if it was ever there, but I thought it was.

I restarted the computer and opened the model again, with no other applications. Tiny rendering image - still just background. I don't know what else to do now.

Help please!!!

- BTW this is on the work machine - Win XP Pro.

Just to exclude the obvious:

- the 3D window shows the correct view before the photorendering window pops up.

- I have just rendered another preset view from the navigator, and it is 25cm wide by same proportion depth as the other view, and is at 300dpi.

Very strange ... but I sometimes wonder if I should be an astrologer instead... less unknowns!

Pick one element to render from the scene. This jogs it somehow....

Thanks Dwight. I tried that (on your suggestion) and it rendered that object (black, because no lamps were selected). So - I then tried the whole scene again and only the background rendered, once again.

So following on from this thinking, I tried altering the marquee area slightly, redrawing it but taking in much the same portion of the model. No luck. Then I tried rendering the whole scene without the marquee at all. No model. Then, changing the perspective setting of the camera slightly, moving it backward a little. Still no luck. Each time the 3D comes out fine, it's only the rendering that doesn't. I really don't know what's happening with it all now.

Thanks for taking the time for the suggestion anyway ... I think next I'll try with a different layer invisible each time. What productive use of time ...

You, and others, have obviously had this problem before. BUG.

i have had this problem when publishing a viewset to an image file.

it worked fine if i did an F10 in the 3d window and saved as.

not sure if this helps
