Lightworks - settings accuracy

Hi everyone,

Noticed, in two different files both created with AC10, that the lightwork material settings (decimals) are different (see attached image).

Is there a setting for this anywhere ??

Don't think the marginal adjustments makes much of a difference in the rendering but it would be good to know why this happened...

yes! your 'working units...' in the project preferences. in my opinion these should always be set to the highest possible tolerances.

remember that everything in archicad works to these tolerances, including your cursor snaps!

in case you're also unaware - and i've heard this used as an excuse before - it does not affect the accuracy of dimension text which is set under it's own settings. i.e. working to a high accuracy does not mean all of your dimensions will display to 0000.1 of a millimetre . . .

Oo.., you would be suprised how much difference it makes. For instance displacement amplitude factor - for non-porous materials the useful range is from - 0.1 to 0.1. From the other hand, don't you think it is odd to work with fractions to control materials Why this couldn't be percentage? When you consider -0.1 factor as -100% and 0.1 as a 100% it starts to make more sence.
