Which software is the best for life like renderings? There are so many out there to choose from. Please don't mention Art-Lantis.


Is their a list out there comparing software? Pros and Cons?

the work flow is posted on this site in detail. Probably just search for v-ray and it will trun up.

You can always exprot to .3ds and use that with alomst any rendering program. There is some info loss.

Interestingly enough, it is now available for C4D
Does this mean Archicad users could now use Vray if we have maxonform?

i'm still most impressed with art r - just right in quality & speed for architecture. No better for Archicad workflow efficiency imho.

Maxwell for archicad gives me a headache....

Maxonform in itself doesn't include support for rendering. It supports materials strangely enough, but only if you load them from Cinema4D files and it doens't have the editor included so that's pretty useless. I think the Maxonform engine is supporting more features from Cinema4D then what is included in the regular interface.

If you have the full Cinema4D then you can use the ArchiCAD Exchange plugin (or you can use Maxonform with ArchiCAD and Cinema4D).

I can not believe that... I'm so overwhelmed with work that I don't even have time to "play" with ArchiCAD these days...

I was kidding! I can't remember a busier time. Everyone I know has more work than they can handle. Even if they do send out 10 in May, many of us wont be able to look at it until the end of September.

You europeans of course have "Holiday" in July right? or is that just in Amsterdam? The last time I was there it seemed like all of the Netherlands was shut down for the whole month. They all went to stay in tents along the sea and drink Fristi and Chocomel. Many of them were obviouly in a big hurry to pack.
