I thought it would be a fun idea to show some renderings of homes you've designed in Archicad, kind of like a little portfolio or show and tell.

So I'll start with a few:

Ed is not talking about a beta version, nor of any version of ArchiCAD 15 (none of which are announced). Rather, he has been using a "Preview" of a 64 bit version of ArchiCAD 14 for Mac that was announced last August here:

That post is in a dedicated sub-forum for this 64 bit Mac AC 14 preview version.

I did find it odd that the 64bit Mac Beta installs as ArchiCAD 15.

Not a beta. (Does it actually SAY "Beta" on the splash screen? Clerical error by programmer if so.) If it says '15', that's definitely a typo. 😉

Tomato/Tomato.... Will the 64 bit "trial" be released as a hotfix to AC14 then?

Actually, the choice of words has major ramifications, as you could tell by people who thought that you had access to the AC 15 beta, which is covered under a legal nondisclosure if and when it is available to the actual beta testers.

No, I do not believe Graphisoft has any plans to release or update the 64 bit preview version of AC 14. As far as I know, this was a technology evaluation as part of the planning of future versions, presumably AC 15.

That's the part that worries me. I've been baited before with promises of 64 bit Mac functionality (AC14) and Sketchup integration...etc.
I've been running Sketchup Mac native for over two years. Every other modeling program I use can import Sketchup files.
Meanwhile, QTVR has been dropped without a suitable replacement (like FlashVR or HTML5) and VBE is not comparable(nor is it free).

The model was prepared and textured in archicad for VBE export (with cars ,peoples and vegetation ) - not in Artlantis or other renderer.
