Terrible blue background while using Physically Based Rendering in 3D

Terrible blue background while using Physically Based Rendering in 3D.

I am using this view a lot. Because it does not have the possibility of turning this, i will not use AC 28.

It disturbs me a lot.

Is it possible to turn it off and leave a white background?

Even the shade of the celling is blue...

"And everything he sees is just blue " 🙂

Someone from GS once explained that they deliberately gave this light blue shade to white surfaces, since white doesn't exist in reality, or something like that! I think I remember well, we specifically asked to fix this and to not interfere with the original coloures of the textures. Still nothing. I like the shadows under the furniture and stuff but for now, I am going to drop the feature too. There doesn't seem to be a way of making any adjustments to it...

Yeah, i remember that answer. We all had a good laugh that day

This is awful! I use quick 3D renderings all the time for my clients, but this blue background is horrible. And, unfortunately, turning off the Physical Rendering option leaves you with less realistic looking textures than the standard 3D window in AC27 - which was a great improvement. I am not going to migrate any more projects to 28 - very disappointing because there seem to be lots of other cool things.

The blue background makes the renderer unusable! I guess I get that pure white is not reality but this blue wash that that background throws on everything is crazy.

Any updates on this? Is is possible to adjust the blueness to make it less blue?

Just thought it was me not being able to find the correct setting. Seems like it's a feature that  needs to be deleted ASAP. Unusable in its current form.

Remember that it is an 'experimental' feature that you can try if you want to.

You do not have to use it and can turn it on/off in your Work Environment.

But yes, it needs some work before it will be useful.

So the result of this experiment failed 😔

Yes it can be turned off, and I think 3D enhancement is a great feature,  but I'm turning off one of the only new features in V28 that might have been a workflow improvement. That leaves distance guideline as the only one that I will use, that makes any real difference.
