Texture repeated

Hi, I tried to create a new texture of black tiles using a download image .png format. When I applied this texture to the object, that texture is repeated many times on a esfera over a black background. The (.png file) is like this an esfera...Is there any solution to see the texture like a normal composition of tiles? I have other textures like this in the texture library however I apply them and they appear perfectly like a real composition of tiles.

Hi,

You can add those maps (bump, reflections, etc.) in their respective "field" of the texture settings, but only if you edit them for the Cineware and Redshift engine.

The function won't show up in the basic engine.

Hi,

When you download textures, they have to have the 2D display as a 2D front view. Sort of like this:

What you have is a representation - spheres are usually used because you can see the reflections, bump etc.

All in all, you need a regular texture map, in 2D view. You can grab some from polyhaven for example and the file that would interest you would be the "color" file. You import that into Archicad and it should show up nicely.

Thanks for your message. I understand you. But I would like to ask you a question. If in the Surface menu I add a JPG file in 2d as a Texture, will I have reflections, bump etc. and all the features of the texture? or I will lose them? the final representation of the texture is just the JPG picture without reflections, bump, etc?
