In working through my book, it occurs that ArchiCAD users would like a reliable system to achieve predictable results. We often hear complaints about how difficult to control rendering engines/materials and lighting are.
Those of you who are proficient in other rendering application:
Please comment on whether a predictable system CAN be achieved in your favorite software and how good that system is in coping with changing conditions.
In my case, using a variety of applications for differing purposes, perhaps I'm just not good enough or fooling around and experimenting just comes with the territory.
