Syber:

Have you tried changing the "Set Sun Position" parameter from Off to On? This allows you to set the sun position for this light source and not use the project sun position.

Hope this helps.

neon tubing is made with an "emiiting" material - Pipeline>Graphisoft Emission - set attenuation to simulate the ezposure - more attenuation will make a more round tube. But it is not a light source.

This window light can be aimed at any surface - you would place it in front of your tubing facing backwards to softly make a wall glow. Perhaps you need two of them - one neon color and one white-ish.

We don't have the special effect enabled to easily use the Lightworks neon defined materials.

Nice effect, I also found it interesting to know that the animated gif files maintain their animation in the preview.

Sure, but the garbage tracing your image means the file is too big. Not too big for the upload, but too big for the imaging engine.

I think it is too small, the preview is set to a specific ratio, and the gif is wandering. Maybe?

some kind of compression/optimization issue. Can I call you?

Not necessary, I am sure that if I created a graphic with the exact dimensions as the preview, there would be no problem.

But you can call whenever you want, big fella.
