So, I have set the rendering quality to Low, the polygon count of the model is just below 50,000 and I tried hiding layers which could be take a lot of computer memory and the rendering is still really slow. I would need the layers on that I hid, but I just wanted to see if turning off those things would speed of the render. It takes around 13 minutes to render something at low quality. There are no trees, cars, and whatnot. It is a pretty simply model. There are a lot of SEO's and some complex profiles. The file size is 21.5 MB too.
Does any one have any ideas why the rendering is so slow? Normally at the settings I have, it is almost instant.
The rendering process is as follows: It starts roughing out the shape of the model without color and adds dots to it. It pauses after the dots have been placed on the rough model. This pause lasts for about 10 minutes or so. Then, the last few minutes is when the computer adds the colors, textures, etc. for the finished render.
