billboard photograph image rendering problem

hello.
ive set up the following rendering, and as the attached images show,
when i view the model in 3D, the photographic billboard is shown as intended.
however, in the rendered image, you can see the photograph has been flipped upside down.
i have double checked the texture origin, and set the direction of the texture, and the results are the same.
does anyone know what is causing this? is there a solution, or is this a glitch?

ok, so for some reason, those pic images didnt upload right. you'll have to take my word for it, that i have described the problem accurately.
