Even though all those computer boxes look more-or-less the same on the outside, the amount of RAM inside determines the size of job it can do.
It is possible that Archicad can face a situation where constructing the model into a 3D file [prior to rendering] can cause the machine to over-demand resources. Typical problems:
1: Spanish tile roof. Solution: Don't do Spanish tile roof.
2: Corrupted illogical element - perhaps you ignored a warning about consistency during the drafting phase. Solution: systematically isolate the problem by cutting the project in parts with the marquee and layer visibility, then render.
If it is a small model, the problem is most likely a corrupted element.
