If you save from AC10 as AC9 and you are using AC10 Library Parts, you will lose them in the resulting AC 9 file, so you will not be able to create the same 3D Model to save as Artlantis from.
You should watch out for this.
Thanks
Than I must save as 3D-Studio. In this case the scale will be very confused.

In AC 10 also check out the realistic sky shader. It can be found in the Library:
Lights, LightWorks Lights, Sky Object, in the settings at Sky Object Type choose Realistc.
I can recognise the difference betw. sky object and realistic sun.
Here is the test with realistic sun, the nummber of samples are 300

Of course, now we have them in a trap.

If, after a year, they are finally getting around to implementing something they call "realistic," what did we have before?

I guess we'd call it "PhotoCartoonistic."
"PhotoFakeist?"
"PhotoRushedItOuttheDoorBecauseWeDidn'tHaveTime to FinishtheShaderCode-ButMaybeIntheNextRelease?"

Could some others please confirm in what trading areas on Earth the Sky Object wirh Realistic option is provided?

Or is it just the Germans who get it before the rest of us, again?

My USA version Sky Object looks the same as last time.

I'm sorry guys, but I have not found any changes between AC10 skyobject and AC9 skyobject. I don't even see any new parameter for realistic sky and i don't see any quality improvment with the same settings in the 2 versions. I've just install AC10 (run in demo) but there is not a single paramter and changes in it. What object are you talkin about. Do i miss something here?

You can find out realistic sun in photorealistic parameter:
in LW-environment

Sorry your USA version is ok.
I mean realistic sun in in photo realistic parameter.

Why so stupid names....It would be called...softy sun or such like that...

Check that you've got the right library loaded. Some have reported that AC10 sometimes loses track of its History in Library manager.

My Ac10 INT build 817 library has a new Sky object (new symbol, Now With Name) where you can choose btw Quick and Realistic options. When R is chosen, the list of parameters shrinks considerably. I'm looking forward to your supplement!

Also, the Lightworks Rendering Settings has a setting for Realistic Sun, the parameter list shrinks there too.

But I didn't find a Sun Object in the AC10 library. The one I have is AC9's. Guess if you just have AC10 and want an Undersun, you'll have to configure a Parallell Lamp for it.

RE: Undersun

All the lamps have finite operating distances. ONLY the SunObject can do the Undersun for large distances.
