Default folder for "save as"

PLEASE make the default folder for "save as..." the same folder as the file you are working on is stored in.

Today when you use "save as..." you are directed to the folder you used the last time you used "save as...". Doesn't matter if it was a totaly different file on a totaly different day in a totaly different session.

This idiotic behavior just caused me to overwrite the wrong file and continue working on it for half a day. Now I have to fix it in time machine and I will loose almost half a days work.

Well if you have windows I don't belive this would be an issue to begin with because that part of windows wasn't written by idiots trained by monkeys.

I don't have this problem in Office nor do I have it in Adobe programs so why OH WHY can't GS fix it to?

And yes I am power user on the friggin snow leopard and it is not all that it is cracked up to be.
