As we know, GS introduced a spotlight add-on for Mac users to search PLN files.
I just came across plug-ins for AutoCAD DWGs within Google desktop. http://desktop.google.com/plugins/c/index/search.html?hl=en
The best ones not only search the text, but show a thumbnail of the file.
Wouldn't it be cool if we could have one for ArchiCAD?
BTW, unlike Yahoo desktop search, google can be set to index local (networked) drives, so this is a real assist in offices!
And like most Google stuff is platform agnostic - i.e. available to all users!!(Mac, PC whatever!)
being a bit realistic I reckon it ain't gonna happen as GS has invested some significant resources to the spotlight tool on mac platform.
but may be you're right... I am just somehow loosing my faith in Windows (experienced since win3.1)... the latest Vista fucking sucks and I am disappointed after buying a laptop with it...
All my working life was on Macs until this current employer (last 5 years) - so I missed all the good Mac OS X stuff that was promised for years. Next computer at home will be a Mac laptop - maybe next year a Macbook with LED screen!
(Interested the Vista experience has been disappointing even on new hardware!).
