Mesh with constant thickness

Whenever I model terrain, I dream of an additional feature that would be useful, e.g. for convenient cutting of roads, various surfaces (etc.) in the terrain mesh, so that it would then also be visible in cross-sections (e.g. by using SEO operations). This is a mesh of a given thickness:

I would love it if Graphisoft could include the plug-in LAND4 Archicad. It is amazing for site plans and modeling. I worked with the developer and offered USA site data to work in US units and data. They have developed a V.2 that does this. Unfortunately, I have no current need for the app. But you could import survey data, and it would build a very good contour model. You can easily add roads and walks on a slope, and it will adjust the contours for you. Building elevations will show the 2D line of the intersecting contours. It is super easy to learn and work with. Also, you can convert the 3D site model to a Mesh and back again with a click. The development team was very personable and wanted to be helpful. It's not expensive for a one-year license ($630) that floats on a network.

I may have posted a similar request on another forum. In addition to having an option for consistent thickness, adding a composite profile would add even more value to this request.

Currently, I can create slabs with composite layers, which works well for interior areas where I separate the structural slab from the surface finish. However, the inability to slope slabs presents a challenge for exterior traffic circulation.

If we could create meshes with profiles with consistence thickness, it would allow for more accurate modeling of roads, sidewalks, and parking areas with the proper slopes and levels, based on the site’s topography. The railing tool could then be used to form curbs along the edges. Additionally, a consistent mesh thickness would make it easier to calculate backfill and excavation volumes, while section views would display the correct composite material layers.

Meshes (additional wishlist):  1. The ability to change spot height at the bottom of meshes, not just on the top.

                                                  2. Be able to detect and annotate the slope (degree or percentage) on the surface of a mesh.

@Tekle

Please post additional wishes about the Mesh tool in new, separate topics.

This is the only way for GS Product Managers to know what specific feature wish has high support from users.

If one thread contains many wishes, they cannot figure out which one users want implemented.

Hopefully, the wishlist will soon be reopened and you will be able to post your wish.

Meshes had also to continue the 2d textures on the plans with the ones of roofs and slabs standing close to them.

Same for roofs staying close to slabs, as well as slabs close to slabs.

Meshes being also, if we need, with constant thickness help in making slabs over terrain, without have to convert them in roofs.

I mean fusion of surfaces and hiding border lines along connected surfaces, with same fills.

I'm only voting for this because I want to see what GS does when we reach 200 votes.

You could legit copy the same mesh down and use SEO down and convert to Morph if you really needed to. So I think the wish is actually pointless but good luck!.
