Section Marker - Move marker buble and arrow without changing section extent

Often the section marker buble and arrow clashes with labels, dimension or other documentation elements.
It would be great if we could re-position the Section Marker in each wiew without affecting the extent of the section!

Currently only the text component of the marker can move, which is quite silly.

- Nobody wants to move the text without the arrow.

- Nobody wants to move the text simmetrically (both ends of the marker)

- Nobody wants to move the text in every wiew where the marker is visible

Please fix this, since the current behaviour of the marker is ridiculous.

You can always add a 'linked' marker to any plan and then hide the original section in a layer that you can turn off.

This way you can have multiple linked markers in different positions on different plans (layers or storeys).

Barry.

@Barry Kelly

That's true and I know it, but it is still a cumbersome workflow.

It would be great if there were vertexes on the section / elevation line which would signify section boundary, while the line and marker could be placed anywhere, even before the boundary.

Yes please!  This seems like would be an easy code change, I can move the bug for interior elevations and elevation without modifying the extents. To me this is a ‘no-brainer’.

Would be even better if could make so cannot select a section/elev unless clicking on the bug.  I am constantly selecting a section/elev when trying to select a completely separate object! So annoying….

In a basic way this should be very easy to do since there is already available edited marker from @Yves which can have marker moved independently on section lenght.

Of course, it's not dealing with option to edit independently in floorplans, but this shoul not be something community users should offer as a solution.

Needles to say it was highlighted via community tip of the month.
