Before we updated from AR23 to AR29 there were many alternatives available under View>3D View Options, now there are only 12. One of the alternates was the BIMx option which we used when publishing a BIMx model. Any ideas about how to restore these alternates and what they all were?
Thanks

What you’re seeing is intentional.
In earlier versions of the USA template, there were multiple 3D Style presets (BIMx, IFC, Energy Evaluation, Collision Detection, etc.), but many of these were effectively duplicates of the same underlying display settings. They were mainly labeled differently based on the export workflow they were associated with.
The key point is that 3D Styles only control how the model is displayed inside Archicad’s 3D window. They do not control how exports like BIMx, IFC, or SAF are generated. These formats rely on their own processing or viewing logic, regardless of which 3D Style is active during export.
Because of that, the redundant presets were removed and streamlined.
For BIMx specifically, its previous settings were identical to the “Simple Shading” 3D Style. As a result, from Archicad 28 onward, BIMx views use “Simple Shading” as their assigned 3D Style in the View Settings
If you preferred the old setup, you can still recreate custom 3D Styles manually, but functionally you’re not losing anything in terms of export results.

yeah, BIMx is only an option through the publisher now. and you have to jump through some hoops to get a bimx saved as a stand-alone, rather than uploading a 'hyper model' to the cloud service... still possible, but not at all as intuitive as the old file > save as method
