The one thing I am not clear about is: once you are walking through your BIMx model on your iPad, can you actually take measurements etc., like you do in the desktop version? Being able to also link and read pdf would really be helpful on the costruction site (I dont know if the desktop version allows for it or not).
I am asking this because we are considering integrating a BIMx model (actually three: bearing structure, raw construction and complete building) in our standard construction documentation.
A problem that we have with BIM technology is to document it all in a consistent way, without producing cubic meters of paper that are of little use on the costruction site. If the contractor receives a BIMx model, they can extract all the info they need from the actual model, without having to look through 200 sheets of paper.
