Open the 3D window of the plan and save as DWG. This will create Autocad DWG with drawing elements coming in as blocks. By selecting the blocks and exploding them, the elements become editable.

Send your AutoCAD client the GDL Adapter for AutoCAD so he can view and tweak all of the GDL objects in your plans.

Will this work going from AutoCAD to AC. I have 3D drawings done in AutoCAD, how can I open them in AC?
This is very simple. Just click on File-GDL Objects-Import Blocks from DXF/DWG, select the AutoCAD object you want to import and let the ArchiCAD default translator do the rest. The object is now in your library and you can add it to your drawing just like any other library part. With the new ArchiCAD you can just drag-n-drop it into your ArchiCAD plan just like we do now from the GDL Object Web Plug-in enabled web pages. It is alot like AutoCAD's i-Drop feature. Be sure you enable the Drag&Drop feature. Options/Preferences/Miscellaneous checkbox Enable Drag-and-Drop
