I wonder if it can generate a good materials list?
Has anyone tried it out yet?

Hi Steve
I looked at your posted examples and the referenced sites other renderings and I must say, I'm impressed with the true world (photo realistic) aspect.
And I have looked around at other awesome renderings to drool over, but nothing that looked this real.
Maybe someday I'll get there.
Bummer it's AutoC driven.

"ArchiCAD 13 better be great"
I sure hope so, I already paid for it.
Unfortunately when I heard our illustrious
Hungarian G.S. New Pres speak a couple of months ago
at the AIA convention in S.F. , all he talked about was
team work improvements, (which were impressive)
but of no use to me:-((

Matthew wrote:It really needs to be nothing short of game changing. Of the few changes and features introduced in V12, I find I use a very small number of them (better detail linking and the 3D document tool being the only real wins for me). The result of this is twofold:
Personally I think the underlying changes could be game changing. I guess we'll see.
- 1. The few improvements I used came at a high cost ($600 for two features, one of which should have been in V11 is pretty lousy value)
2. The competition, principally Revit, used the time to make good strides even with the Ribbon controversy.

The renderings are terrific. What a shame that the houses are so old fashioned! I'd love to see the renderings applied to something designed for this century.

BTW you probably missed this statement on their website:
"Some of the photo-realistic renderings and animations have been further enhanced with the use of other Autodesk software such as Autodesk® VIZ, and Autodesk® 3ds MAX®."
no wonder - very nice.

Yes, I am serious - they do look old-fashoned!
But, if you are talking about the rendering, I did read that. still pretty good though.

Just curious what you consider "this century"? So are you saying that the homes in this gallery would be "old fashioned" and "not desigend for this century"? http://www.phillipjenningshomes.com/
Always interesting to see what people consider in / out esp. when looking from global standards.
