Corrupted ArchiCAD Layer name

I recently downloaded a DXF from a products supplier and the file was a vanity basin which I then imported into my project. Since then the "ArchiCAD" default layer is renamed and repositioned on the layer list as "CAR_DATUMS" on dialogue box drop-downs but as "ArchiCAD" on the layer setings box, still placed down the list where "CAR_DATUMS" layer would be instead of at the top. I have asked the supplier to respond but no reply as yet.

Hi all, just a follow-up on my post. I still can't work out how to get my layers list back to normal. yesterday I considered re constructing my template file from a new start but I realised about an hour into it that I didn't have 3 weeks to spare Has anyone experienced this issue from downloading drawing files from Caroma?

Hi, Dennis.
This is what i usualy do in this situation:

1. I open this dwg-dxf file in a separate archicad (File/Open)
2. Then I tune the layers as needed, for example convert them to a single layer. 3. And then Copy-Paste everything to a main project.

Thank you for the advice. Yes I wish I had a time machine. I'm not looking forward to creating a new template, it's a monster
