IFC Mapping Building Material Parameter Error

Hi,

I have just identified a significant bug in the IFC Property Mapping.

I am trying to map a Building Material to an IFC Property, but it appears to be incorrectly returning a Fill attribute not the Building Material.

In the below screenshot you can see I set the BM parameter to BM 4 index number 4.  The IFC Mapping is instead returning the Fill Attribute at Index 4.

This is in AC25.4013, and have tested the same result in AC23.5005

PLN available via dropbox for reference. here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s1prlngiwdkpqap/AABh5EG49W_qnqq7UEGUzUDMa?dl=0

What is the process to raise this as a bug directly with GSHQ?

I have checked the file and this issue. I agree, this seems to be a bug.

The IFC Property DOES NOT get the name of the Building Material.

It seems to me that the IFC Property gets the name of the Fill with the Index Number that is the same as the Index Number of the Building Material specified. In this case, you specified Building Material "BM 4" (Index Number: 4), and the IFC Property gets the name of Fill "FILL 4" (Index Number: 4).

So it is not even that the IFC Property at least gets the Fill defined for the Building Material. It gets the name of the Fill with the same Index Number.

I will report this as a bug to Graphisoft.

Please make sure the file stays on Dropbox for a week or so so they can download it.

The 14th and 15th are National Holidays in Hungary so the soonest they will deal with this issue is probably next Wednesday.

Thanks Laszlo.

I also lodged it with Central Innovation, and they have lodged it with GSHQ too, so hopefully they will patch it soon.

Cheers,

Scott
