Placed DWG Linetype Scale

Hi all,

How do you get linetypes to scale properly. I have a dashed line which is coming in as a static 3mm/1mm model length which at any reasonable drawing scale becomes a solid line... And the drawing of the lines using a circle centered on the dash ends eats up the gaps even more...

What is that exact issue?

I thought the problem was that you though Archicad would create a new Line Type in Archicad by converting the DWG Line Type based on the LT Scale. But since you created a Line type-Line type conversion rule, the DWG Line Type was converted to an existing Archicad line type, which as its own scale.

Based on that, I think the LTScale setting only applies to DWG Export, where a Line Type will be created in the DWG file based on the Archicad Line Type your specified and with the name and LTScale you specified in the Dialog.

I tested this: I imported the same DWG Line Type into the same Archicad Line Type twice; first, the LTScale was set to 5.0, the second time it was set to 1.0, and the resulting line type in Archicad was the same. I think this is because the Line Type in Archicad already exists and it is defined, all the DWG Import does is assign the element that had a certain line type in the DWG file to the Archicad Line Type you specified in the Translator. Beyond that, it does not tamper with the definition of the Line Type in Archicad.
