I was given the txt file the surveyor had...though the only thing that was in that file was a one liner about Softdesk product.....

What do I need to request from the surveyor in the form of a TXT file that I can use to translate the survey 3d points (X,Y and Z) from them?

thanks,

In my txt file there aren't IDs. Is it a problem for using mesh from surveyors?

My understanding is that these are optional, this is a link I found about the format: Importing Sets of Points in ASCII Into AutoCAD, I would be interested of there are others, as I published an article on my web site (Creating A Mesh From A Txt File) about using this format to generate Mesh forms.
