Critical Ad2 error (buffer overrun)
Error code : -1111
The file sizes are 756 K and 2.7 MB, but this error comes up and opening process ends after 4 sections.
Thanks

I am trying to import AutoCAD R2000 dwgs into ACAD 7. From PC to Mac. When I merge, or if I try to open it, I get no entities, none of the layers, just a few seconds of the beach ball, the file name in the title bar, and nothing else. The configuration box doesn't even open. First time this has happened. I checked the Report window, and there are two lines of error-type text. Does anyone know what they mean? And, how can I get the files I have been given to open, without having to ask the client for previous version (if that even works)?

You don't have enough memory - physically or allocated - to open the DWGs.

Djordje,
OUCH.
Considering the file sizes, how much memory will I need? Seems like I should have enough, but I see I am wrong.
I have 200 MB allocated to ACAD 7 and the largest file size is 2.7 MB.
288 MB Physical RAM.
Oh, and by the way, when I tried to load the file again, it took 8 seconds to get the error, not 4 "sections" ( I meant seconds ) as I said before.
I am still puzzled, why does the dwg import window not come up during the loading process?
Thanks
